According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, Vietnam exported nearly 1.5 million tonnes of coffee in the first nine months of 2026, up 16.2% year on year. Export value reached about USD 6.6 billion, down 7%.
Prices explain the gap: the average export price index for the nine months fell 16.66% year on year. In September alone, shipments reached about 124,000 tonnes, up 53% from September 2025.
The 2026–2027 crop year, which starts in November 2026, is expected to add supply for the final months of the year. The association sees better quality, more processed products and market diversification as the way to raise the value of Vietnamese coffee.
